Agent-based Modeling of Web Systems in Critical Information Infrastructures
نویسندگان
چکیده
Many critical information infrastructures use Web-based systems for deploying core services (e.g., an information service to the citizens of a large city in case of a natural disaster) because of the pervasiveness of Web technologies. Web systems have been mainly modeled up to now from a performance analysis point of view through queuing networks and discrete-time simulation approaches. However, since Web systems are a building and enabling technology of critical information infrastructures, it is also opportune to investigate how to include in the model the interactions and interdependencies with human entities and other critical infrastructures. In this paper, we analyze how the agent-based modeling approach can be applied to a Web system that provides a critical infrastructure application and to its environment.

02 Residential Electricity Demand Management Through Tariff Structure: Agent-based Modeling
Recently, imbalances in the electricity production and consumption in Iran, have caused critical situations at specific times of the year; meanwhile, the residential sector, with a 51 percent share, is the main reason for peak demand crisis. According to the international experiences, it can be hoped that by revising the residential electricity tariff structure, consumption pattern in this sect...

Introduction: To cope with natural and unnatural critical events such as air crashes, car accidents, chemicals and earthquakes or floods needs powerful resource management. Some of these critical events are tiny and by using local and available resources management could be resolved, but some cover extended geographical areas and so need a massive, vast resources and high level management for e...
متن کاملMulti-agent systems for protecting critical infrastructures: A survey
Multi-agent systems have emerged as a very significant platform in provisioning distributed and collaborative services to critical applications. Such applications require ubiquitous agent presence in the environment for monitoring, collecting data, communication, and subsequent data analysis, where the sensitivity of the application’s nature cannot be understated. Recent advances in the field o...

متن کاملAn Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)
Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...
